Most of our Shire Stallions are available for chilled semen to be sent across the UK. We are now offering a NFFR on stallions via AI, subject to our Terms and Conditions. Our AI Technicians are experienced and qualified to collect semen, using our purpose built dummy, and process it with our state of the art  i-Sperm analyser and centrifuge to ensure only the best quality semen is sent out.

We have had some great results using chilled semen so far and is something we'd like to promote across the heavy horse community. The benefits of using chilled semen is clear: reducing stress of travelling a mare (and possibly foal too), reduced risk of trauma, reduced risk of disease spread and can time insemination to ovulation.

Semen is sent via Royal Mail Special Delivery for delivery the next day by 9am. We need orders by 10am the day before in order to process it; please contact us if you considering using chilled semen to ensure we can do it.
